All In a Day’s Work

Most people that I know who really love what they do list “variety in their work” among the best things about their job.

Doing something different at least some of the time – something out of the ordinary - standing apart from the crowd in the way you offer your gifts and talents to the world can be really appealing. It is what I love the most about being a Corporate Trainer and Coach. I find myself driving to meet a client and suddenly realize “This is what I do for a living!” Everyday moments of joy are what make it exciting, challenging, and certainly not boring!

No matter what type of work you do, we can all find ways to add variety to our day. Trying something new very often is the way to stay healthy and young at heart, keep your brain active and find the joy in your life.

Check out “Associates in the News” for a look at the unique work that one of our clients found himself doing. What joy and excitement!

Please see the Tips section below for ideas to keep your work fresh and exciting.

 Have a great week.

Lisa

Marrek Moments

We are happy to announce that we are entering into another season of our partnership with Mohawk College on the Tools for Business Series of workshops. While these workshops appeal to the public in general, they have proven to be a very effective way to meet the training needs of organizations that may only need one or two people trained at a time. The workshops will be moving to a new location this fall - the Arcelor Mittal Dofasco Recreation Centre!

Rocky River Sign"Associates in the News"

Check out these videos of Cam Mahy & his daughter Julie, Rocky River Sign Company (www.rockyriversign.com)  Their task was to paint a 28' x 56' billboard on the Gardiner Expressway for Tourism Newfoundland. The top of the billboard was 85 feet in the air & it took them 12 working days to complete it. It's pretty incredible."
