Winter is here and with it comes the desire to cocoon! As tempting as that may be, it is bad for your business. Keep networking! If you are looking for a job, now is not the time to hibernate! Keep searching! If you have a job, as tempting as it is to "take a snow day", keep plugging away!
Do what the others are NOT doing. Be different.
No, I am not the Grinch who stole Christmas! I believe very much in celebrating the season. Find the balance - network with a friend (there are events like Christmas House Tours that provide an opportunity to network and socialize). Find seasonal work at the malls to tide you over until your ideal job comes around. Decorate your office. Have fun while doing what you need to do - for your business, yourself or your job!
