Well! I have had quite a technology challenged week! Computers are great… until they crash! Then your whole world is disrupted and the result is a complete loss of efficiency. Both my laptop and I are still recovering! On the bright side, the incident did give me an opportunity to come up with some pointers for the TIPS section of this newsletter. Who would have thought that I would be giving computer tips!

Computer Tips (Lessons Learned the Hard Way)
- Back it up! Back up everything on a CD, on a memory stick or on another computer.
- Know where your stuff is! Keep all your software CDs, passwords etc... all together in one drawer of your desk.
- Find an IT specialist you can trust and count on.
- Budget for emergency IT expenses.
- Treat your web designer well. She can help when it comes time to reset mail accounts etc.
- Stay calm. No one has died because a hard drive crashed!
