Did everyone remember to change their clocks this past weekend? Fall back, spring ahead? Time change – another adjustment for us to make this week. Hopefully one that is easy to handle!
But why do so many resist other changes in their lives? Change is nothing more than a break in our normal routine, a shift from one thing to another yet often we see it as a challenge to our beliefs and attitudes and even a threat to our security.
It is human nature to resist change however since it is going to occur anyway, you must choose which way you are going to deal with it – positively or negatively. See it as an opportunity or see it as a burden.
The choice is yours.

Tips
Dealing with Change
-
Remember Stephen Covey’s Circle of Control. Even when you can't control a particular change, you can control the way you respond.
-
Between stimulus and response there is time for you to think about your reaction. Train your brain to do that.
-
Get support. Talk with people you trust. Listen to them too. Build a support network.
-
Give yourself a break. Do things that are not related to the change. This can help you to come back to the change-related activities with more energy and interest.
-
Don’t take it personally. Focus on the future.
