Events
Beyond
Networking - Hamilton needs a new location!
We are
looking for a new spot to hold our Hamilton networking events. The room
has to hold approximately 25 people, seated at tables, with additional
space for display tables. Facility must either provide a screen or have
a white/beige wall that we can project a PowerPoint slideshow on. Prefer
to be able to bring in our own coffee & desserts.

Audie's
Awesome Advice:
Audie asked
a question on Health & Safety
"If
a small home business owner wants to hire an individual on a contract
basis, what are the owner's responsibilities as far as WSIB?"
Judy Dulovic,
HR Specialist, www.outsource-solutions.ca
replies:
"If
the person is working from your home, your homeowner's insurance policy
would cover any accident. This situation has not yet been regulated
by the government."
Ask
me a question and I'll provide some awesome advice!
I invite
our readers to share their success stories by emailing me at audie@marrek.com.

Tips
Things
to Think About when Communicating with Others
- It
is all about the other person's perception of what is said, not about
what you think/know you said.
- 70%
of all communication is screened, blocked or changed by the
person who hears it.
- Meanings
are not conveyed in a conversation - only words are.
- What
you say and the way you say it are two completely different things.
- It
is your responsibility to be clear and precise if you want your message
to be perceived as you intended it to be.
