Your Kids Can

You’ll recall, in our last newsletter, we talked about vision and our aging population. The message touched a chord with our readers! One of our subscribers wrote further on the subject, extending the issue to websites and the Internet:

“I would just like to extend your vision point. I have the same challenge.

But my point is that web sites and web designers need to recognize this!

Suggestion: An option on web sites to allow people to choose a larger font size”

Ken Bolt, Brant Florist

As the Internet becomes more important to the way we do business, our aging population of customers and their vision concerns will become another area of customer service to consider!

Boom Bust & EchoIn his infamous book “Boom, Bust and Echo: Profiting from the Demographic Shift in the 21st Century”, David Foot says to focus your business on the Baby Boom population and their children and you will be very profitable indeed!

Read the tips section below for some food for thought in the coming years.

Have a great week!

Tips

Tips to Boost Your Business in the 21 st Century

  1. Consider that we tend to do different things at different times of our lives.
  2. Remember that one year from now we'll be one year older.
  3. Apply these principles to all of the generations in the population.
  4. Market your business to the largest group: the Boomers and their children, the Echo generation.
  5. Find out their likes, dislikes and their “hot buttons”.
  6. Target those hot buttons to help your business thrive.
