Lately, I have been reading a great deal on the different generations in the workplace. I have found out more about my own generation (GenX) and the Next Generation that is relevant to business today than you can imagine! I often hear frustration about the different generations from members of the organizations that we work with. The most frequent complaint from Boomer and GenX supervisors is the difference in the style and the work ethic of the “Next Generation” (or the Millennials born 1981-1999). Understanding where these young people are coming from is a great first step to attracting and retaining the best in their cohort. They are the future of business and our economy. They have a lot to learn from us. I would also suggest we have a lot to learn from them! Have you ever wondered what makes them tick? Are you trying to learn how to motivate them?

Please see the Tips section below for help to inspire your Millennial talent.

Have a great week!

Lisa
