Your Kids Can

 

 

Recently, I came across the lyrics to an old song “Little Things Mean a Lot” and was touched by the simple things that make such a difference in our relationships.


“Give me your hand when I’ve lost my way
Give me your shoulder to cry on
Whether the day is bright or gray
Give me your heart to rely on.”

The song refers to personal relationships but the same principles apply in the business world where little kindnesses are also important. A thank you, speaking courteously, praise for a job well-done, all of these things go a long way to building up the emotional bank account (Covey) with managers, colleagues and clients. Always remember that success in business rests on successful relationships!

Our friend and new Atlantic Region licensee, Sherry Pelkey sent me a list of the little things that mean a lot in business. They are words to live by!
