Lisa Dennie
Lisa Dennie is a Corporate Trainer and Coach with The Marrek Group. When leaving the corporate world after 15 years in 2004, she was looking for a workplace where she could practice her strongly held values of excellence and improving the quality of work life. She found the perfect setting to put those values into action at The Marrek Group.
Corporate Career Highlights:
- Acted as a long-term Trainer and Coach for new representatives in the Bell Canada Credit Services Department, emphasizing the importance of customer service in the Credit Representative role
- Served as Training Manager for a group of trainers who were responsible for assisting new representatives in the development of technical and customer service skills
- Was deeply involved in the Total Quality Project at Bell Canada to improve processes and communication to “do the right things the right way the first time”
Marrek Highlights
- Certified in “Customer Service Excellence” through the Ontario Chamber of Commerce
- Designs and develops top-notch training material for Marrek workshops and courses, incorporating leading edge information and research in the field of interpersonal skills
- Delivers excellent training courses in Core Skills for Managers, Mastering Communications, Creating AMAZING Customer Service and many more.
- Authors many of The Marrek Group’s on-line biweekly newsletters
- Coaches clients and other Marrek Trainers to keep up the tradition of continuous improvement at The Marrek Group
- Coaches clients in the areas of transition counseling, assisting with resumes, interview skills and job search techniques
Community Involvement:
- Sit on the Steering Committee for SISO’s Workplace Development Toolkit (www.thetoolkit.ca)
- Participated in a Focus Group Session for The Work and Learning Knowledge Centre to discuss Barriers and Opportunities for Training for Hamilton employers, Hamilton, Ontario
- Presented for a panel to discuss Human Resources and Job Search issues for the EARN (Employment Assistance Resource Network) Committee on behalf of Hamilton Training Advisory Board (HTAB), Hamilton, Ontario
- Participated in Focus Group Sessions at the 2007 TOP (Trends, Opportunities, and Priorities) Community Forum, an initiative of the Hamilton Training Advisory Board, Hamilton, Ontario
- Member of the St. Joachim School Auction Committee to raise funds for school activities
