Time Management Tips

Get into the routine of:

1. Checking voice mail and e-mail ONLY at specific times of the day. For example: first thing in the morning, just before you take a break, just before lunch etc. Don’t be addicted to the phone ringing or the computer ‘dinging” or your blackberry buzzing!

2. Making a “To Do” list. Writing down what you have to do will help you stay focused. It will also make you feel a sense of accomplishment when you cross off what you have completed.

3. Using your Outlook, plan and schedule tasks, meetings and time to think!

4. Think before you act. Just because someone asks you to do something doesn't mean it has to be done “now” or even by you.

5. Take lunch breaks. You will be more effective and efficient if you take time to refuel.
